UNC PK : The Tar Heels are rolling into Little John highly motivated after the ass beating they took in Chapel Hill at the hands of Coach K and the Blue Devils. Caleb Love really took the loss to heart. He let out some frustrations on Twitter last night with a little dig at Duke’s home loss to UVA, and my money is on Love to have a bounce back game tonight. Things do not sit well in the frontcourt for this matchup for the Tigers. Armando Bacot should be in savage mode after not really getting to put his stamp on the Duke game by getting in early foul trouble. Bacot has a massive size and rebounding advantage against an undersized/not deep Clemson front court. Clemson is really going to miss Hunter Tyson in this game. Tyson broke his clavicle last week, and you instantly saw how big of a hole he left in that rotation when Clemson lost on the road over the weekend against a struggling Georgia Tech side. Tyson, Amir Simms and Clyde Trapp were the pivotal weapons to the Tigers getting the home “upset” over the Heels last year, and none of them will be there tonight to thwart the UNC wave. Little John always gets amped for this game and it should be close, but I’m afraid they don’t have the weapons to fend off a hungry UNC in the end.
Score Prediction: UNC 75 – Clemson 70
UCF ML : The Knights are too experienced to be sitting at 13-8 and 5-6 in conference. I may be foolish, but I still believe Green Jr., Perry, Mahan and Walker have more to offer than this. Due to my beliefs, I have no problem backing this team where the line currently sits. I view these two teams as equals, so i would have had this at UCF -3 minimum .. but also some added edge due to the Knights dropping a close one in Wichita earlier this season. I just think this senior group has what it takes to get a nice home court win, in a revenge spot, to kickstart the back end of their season. Gut feel here.
Score Prediction: UCF 69 – Wichita State 65
Michigan -2 : Sorry, State College. The Hunter Dickinson train is rolling through, and there is no stopping it. He is averaging 22.7 ppg in his last seven, and that includes a 9 point effort against Northwestern that was caused by early foul trouble. Speaking of foul trouble, John Harrar is the only Nittany Lion with a prayer of trying to contain Dickinson. If he gets in foul trouble, this could be over quickly. As a freshman, Dickinson had 20 & 7 in this matchup. He is certainly more polished as a sophomore, and I expect a MONSTER night from the big man. Penn State has dropped 4 of 5, and I just think Michigan is the better basketball team here. I do not believe it is relatively close. I would have them as a 6.5-7 point favorite on a neutral, and I am certainly not giving Penn State 5 points of home court. Wolverines by double digits. Best Bet.

Wyoming ML : There is no way I am getting off of the Maldonado & Ike train now. Not after we have come this far. You are going to have to throw me off!
Score Prediction: Wyoming 71 – Utah State 69
USC/Pacific o134.5 : I think USC can score as many points as they want tonight. This will be a meaningless game to both programs after 10 minutes of action. Maybe even before. Pacific is 0-9 on the road, and literally have no chance of winning this game. USC is in the middle of the Pac 12 conference grind, and this will basically be an exhibition for them. I do not expect Mobley, Peterson and the rest of the starters to play more than 20-25 minutes. However, this will allow guys from the bench to get their shots up and try to pad some stats for this season. I just genuinely think this will end up being an LA Fitness run by the late stages of the 2nd half, with very little defense. Thought about taking the Trojans, but we should have no problem getting over this total.
