VT -4 & tto 61.5 : I really love the Hokies in this spot. The spread is my Best Bet of the night. If you remember, VT took UVA to the brink in Charlottesville earlier this season. Cattoor had a look to win the game, and Murphy had a chance to tie after an offensive rebound. Neither shot went in and the Hokies lost by 2. It is important to note how close this game was, because that is when VT was playing their worst basketball of the season. The Hokies are coming into tonight scorching hot after winning 5 in a row. Their most impressive win came last time out against Syracuse. Justyn Mutts recorded a triple double in the 11 point victory. He has been the main catalyst in this hot streak. When he is on, it opens up so many other things for his teammates. I like the Hokies to continue their hot shooting against UVA’s pack line defense. A defense that has not been elite like we are used to seeing from the Cavaliers. They enter this game 119th in defensive efficiency. Also, we have the revenge & home rivalry factors in our favor. Should be a rocking sold out crowd. Let’s go Hokies!
Score Prediction: VT 67 – UVA 59
Cleveland State ML : I like the Vikings to make it a perfect 3-0 sweep of the Mastodons tonight. The key? Pressure defense. In the prior matchups this season, Cleveland Stand turned over Purdue FW a combined 33 times. I expect more of the same tonight. The Vikings are the class of the Horizon, and I will gladly take this ML spot here in a game where they should many easy buckets off of turnovers. I’m not spooked by the spot.
Score Prediction: Cleveland State 72 – Purdue FW 67
CofC -4 : I love this spot for Pat Kelsey’s Cougs. Charleston has a very fun and exciting home court atmosphere, and it always helps to push the fast paced tempo that Kelsey likes. I think this is key because Drexel has really struggled at times with teams who like to get out and go this year. I think John Meeks is a matchup nightmare for the Dragons, and I predict he will touch 20+ in this one. The key for CofC will be to get Reyne Smith going. When he is knocking down threes and throwing no looks passes, this team can compete with anyone. Charleston gets a big home win in their first action at TD Arena since 1/27.
Score Prediction: CofC 78 – Drexel 70
Best of luck! Let’s snipe this one y’all!!
